Our Plain Flour Blend combines rice flour, gluten free wheat starch, tapioca starch, potato starch and maize flour to create a versatile, balanced flour that performs across a wide range of recipes.

Developed with Michelin starrred chefs, the blend is designed to give gluten free bakers a more reliable starting point - combining the body of rice flour with a carefully balanced mix of starches to deliver structure, tenderness and a clean finish.

Use it wherever you would normally reach for plain flour. It works particularly well in cakes, biscuits, pancakes, pastry and sauces, and is an excellent base for developing your own gluten free recipes.

What's in the blend?

Rice flour provides the main flour component and body.

Gluten free wheat starch contributes to structure and helps create a more familiar wheat-flour-style texture.

Tapioca starch brings elasticity and helps improve texture.

Potato starch contributes to softness and moisture retention.

Maize flour adds further body and helps round out the blend.

Together, they create a more balanced flour than relying on any one gluten free flour or starch alone.

A note on gluten free wheat starch

This blend contains gluten free wheat starch. The gluten has been removed to a level suitable for gluten free products, but the product is not suitable for people with a wheat allergy or those following a wheat free diet.
